Cobblewood floors are manufactured in pine and oak from new and/or antique timbers. Other species are available upon request. |

If I buy the materials only, can Birger Juell give me installation instructions for my floor?
We provide complete installation instructions when you purchase the flooring. We do not provide installation instructions for flooring products purchased elsewhere, or if you plan on fabricating the floor yourself. | ||

What type of grout should I use?
Juell grout is made from the sawdust particles obtained when sanding the Cobblewood, mixed with a binder. We sell the patented grout along with instructions with the purchase of the Cobblewood flooring. | ||

How much does Cobblewood flooring cost?
Pricing for Juell Cobblewood is $20.00 per square foot, except for Heritage Pattern which is $30.00 and the Pinwheel pattern which is priced upon request. Installation of the Cobblewood depends on pattern selection, the condition of the subfloor, the configuration of the area, etc. Prices for installation will be given upon receipt of a floor plan. We have developed a formula to give you an approximate estimate of how much the Cobblewood floor materials will cost. We will provide you with an exact quote following a personal consultation. Can I purchase a tape of the program you did on the Bob Vila show, "Home Again"?Birger Juell, Ltd. does not make the tape available for sale, but you may go to Bob Vila's website at bobvila.com under "stuff for sale". You'll find information on how to order either by set or individual show. Individual tapes are $9.95 plus $4.95 shipping and handling. Our show number is #136 and aired during the first season.Estimating Cobblewood CostsMaterials Cost To determine the cost of the Cobblewood flooring, first determine the square footage (length x width) of the area, and add 5% to 10% for waste, depending on the layout. Multiply the total number of square feet x the price per square foot of the selected pattern. Grout Cost One gallon of grout covers approximately 30 to 40 square feet of flooring, depending on the spacing of the bricks. To determine the number of gallons of grout to order, divide the total number of square feet by 35. This is the approximate number of gallons of grout you will need.
