Plank Flooring Question & Answer:

What types of plank floors are available?

Birger Juell, Ltd. plank floors can be fabricated from a wide variety of wood species. Maple, hickory, oak, walnut, cherry and pine have been used for centuries and provide excellent wearability and appearance. Other species are available upon request.


What are the specifications of Juell planks?

Unless otherwise specified, our plank floors are 3/4-inch thick, kiln dried, tongue and grooved, end matched, underscored and under sealed.


What widths and lengths do our planks come in?

Planks can be ordered in a variety of widths ranging from 3 to 13 inches wide. Our extra long planks range from 4 to 14 feet long, averaging 8 feet—much longer than planks available from most commercial flooring providers.


Are Juell plank floors guaranteed?

Birger Juell, Ltd. guarantees its floors for the lifetime of our company if (1) we install the floors and (2) we provide our annual maintenance inspection and waxing service.
